Abia Warriors FC Set  For 7th Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Tournament

Abia Warriors FC, the 2023 champions of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Tournament, have confirmed their participation in the seventh edition of the prestigious football tournament.

The club chairman, Chief John Obuh confirmed the participation when the organisers led by the sponsor, ex-International Ifeanyi Ekwueme had a meeting with him.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 2nd to 9th, 2025, featuring top-tier Nigerian clubs, including Enyimba FC and Rangers International amongst others.

The competition will follow a group-stage format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals and final.

The tournament aims to provide a platform for Nigerian teams to fine-tune their tactics ahead of the NPFL season, which is set to start on August 22, 2025.

Abia Warriors FC has a strong record in the tournament, having won the fourthedition in 2024. In the sixth edition, they reached the semi-finals but were eliminated by Great Achievers FC.

With their rich history and performance in the tournament, Abia Warriors FC is expected to put up a strong fight in the seventh edition.

Their participation will undoubtedly add excitement and competitiveness to the tournament, making it a thrilling experience for football fans
