The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Anambra State Chapter, has joined its counterparts across the federation to stage a Road Show aimed at raising awareness, generating media and digital visibility, and encouraging registration for the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum, WPRF Abuja 2026, scheduled to hold from November 15 to 22, 2026.

Despite the statewide environmental sanitation exercise fixed by the Anambra State Government between 7am and 10am, members of the Chapter were not deterred as they converged at 10am for the national assignment.

The Anambra road show kicked off from Regina Caeli junction along Zik’s Avenue, Old Road, moved through the expressway to Arroma Junction and terminated at Ekwueme Square, Awka.

Participants were adorned in NIPR branded shirts and caps bearing WPRF placards with different promotional inscriptions.

Addressing newsmen, the Chairman of NIPR Anambra State Chapter, Dr. Ngozi Ulogu, said the initiative seeks to create widespread awareness about WPRF Abuja 2026, drive registration and participation, mobilise institutions, promote Nigeria’s hosting advantage, and generate sustained media visibility for the Forum.

Dr. Ulogu said the Anambra Chapter went round the town in promotion of the WPRF and described the event as a huge success, as it elicited the desired response from the people, adding that the Anambra Chapter is preparing for the big event.

She appreciated the partners, especially the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, and professional colleagues for their participation.

WPRF Abuja 2026 will take place from November 15 to 22, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, with more than 126 countries and over 3,000 delegates expected to participate from across the globe.

The event is being organised by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, in collaboration with the African Public Relations Association, APRA, and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR.

Reacting, former National Vice President of NIPR, Dr. Denis Ekemezie, said Nigeria is proud to host the WPRF, stressing that Anambra will be fully represented.

Also speaking, Prof. Cornelius Ukwueze of the Mass Communication Department, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, stressed the need to sustain the nationwide awareness creation ahead of the WPRF in November.

To this end, NIPR Anambra State Chapter urged its members and critical stakeholders to register for the WPRF and attend the Forum so as to expose their goods and services to the global community for onward international patronage.

Dignitaries present at the road show include Chief Superintendent of Police Josephine Ihunwo; Deputy Corps Commandant, DCC Onyeka Samuel; DCC Nwaufo Ebele; DCC Ojingwa Grace and Assistant Superintendent of the Corps, ASC Ibenwa Joy, among others.

Media partners at the event include the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, http://Coretruth.net, http://Factcheckng.com and http://Newspathfinder.com.
