As the world celebrates our resilient and dogged womenfolk on the 2026 International Women’s Day(IWD), a popular lawmaker and Anambra Central Senatorial aspirant in the coming general election, Hon Dozie Nwankwo, has extended his good hand of fellowship, goodwill and friendship in felicitating with the women.

Nwankwo, a two-time member of the National Assembly where he represented the Njikoka/Anaocha/Dunukofia Federal constituency and now seeks to step up to represent the Anambra Central Senatorial district.

In a meeting with his political family, he disclosed that his main motivation in stepping out was to use the instrumentality of the office to continue putting smiles on the faces of Nigerians, especially his constituents.

On the IWD, Nwankwo described women as pillar of families, the economy and society who have made and continued to make extensive contributions to the growth and development of the world.

Nwankwo, popularly called “Onyendozi’ extends his warm wishes to women across the world, especially Anambra State/Nigerian women.

While giving them a pat on the back, the Anambra Central Senatorial hopeful described the women as committed, hardworking and exceptionally resilient.

He vowed his unflinching support for more women voices in elective and appointed positions to enable their views be represented more in governance.

In his IWD message, Nwankwo admitted enjoying a chummy social, political and economic bond with the citizens of Anambra State as a result of his achievements.

He recorded immense life transforming achievements at the National Assembly, including attracting the establishment of the Enugwu-ukwu campus of the Federal College of Agriculture, which he’s desirous of getting the permanent site established.

He expressed interest in deepening the relationship he has with the people with more dividends of democracy. That his utmost zeal was to touch the lives of all citizens of Njikoka, Anaocha, and Dunukofia Councils.

Others include Idemili North, Idemili South, Awka North and Awka South citizens.

Nwankwo noted that women remain top in the societal ladder as they coordinate the homes, father’s, husbands, children and virtually all groups.

He urged men to accord them special recognition and honour always.

A well l-known advocate for the rights and advancement of women, he therefore use this occasion to again seek for stronger legislative and policy measures that would enable women’s inclusion in governance and decision-making.
