Anambra To Digitize Data Process Of MDAs

Plans are on to digitize the data process of all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Anambra state.

Statistician General of the State , Mr Obiora Obiabumou stated this when he appeared before House Committee on Public Accounts for an oversight and review of the audited account of the government of Anambra State for the year ended 31st December 2022.

According to him, when the entire system is digitized , it will no doubt assist the government in realizing it’s lofty goals of prosperous liveable city.

The Statistician General noted that the Bureau will collaborate with the Anambra State House of Assembly to ensure that a comprehensive data is gathered for effective delivery of services to the people of the state .

The Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts, Mr Noble Igwe, said the aim of the exercise was to ensure probity an effective utilization of funds already appropriated and released by the government.

Mr Igwe who is the member representing Ogbaru Constituency One, said the oversight would also help to curtail excesses and abuse of public funds appropriated for projects.

Our correspondent reports that the Committee members noted that so far, there were due process and proper utilization of released fund within the period under review.
