‘Spike It Awka’ 2025: UNIZIK Sweep Male And Female Titles

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has emerged triumphant in both male and female categories in the 4th edition of the ‘Spike It Awka’ Volleyball Invitational Championship.

The UNIZIK Male Volleyball team defeated COOU Igbariam 3-1 (25-27, 25-7, 25-9, 25-7) in the grand finale, while the female team topped the standings with 6 points, ahead of COOU Igbariam’s 5 points.

ESUT’s male team secured second place, defeating UNN 2-0 (27-25, 25-19). In the female category, ESUT, MOUAU, and UNN finished third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.

The championship, sponsored by Raba Maja Global Limited, featured a special match between UNIZIK Alumni All Stars and Awka All Stars, won by the alumni team 2-1 (20-25, 25-17, 15-13).

Notable attendees included Chief Peter Nwosu and Mr. Emmanuel Emenogu, CEO of Zeus Sports and Entertainment Consultancy Ltd.
