Governor Otti Lauds Enyimba ‘Can-do’ Spirit In Victory Against Insurance.

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has lauded Enyimba Football Club’s remarkable performance in their thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Bendel Insurance FC during the NPFL MatchDay5 encounter at Aba.

In a post-match statement in his Facebook page, Governor Otti praised the team’s resilience and determination, noting that they came from behind twice to secure a well-deserved victory.

He revealed that he joined the team in the dressing room during halftime to offer words of encouragement, which seemed to spark their comeback.

Governor Otti extended his gratitude to the team’s fans, who turned out in large numbers to support Enyimba FC. He described their energy as electrifying, saying it contributed to the team’s impressive performance. He also commended the coaching crew, the Enyimba FC board, and its chairman, Kanu Nwankwo (Papillo), for their leadership and commitment to excellence.

The governor praised the team’s display of the “can-do” spirit, which he believes is a reflection of the people of Abia State. He emphasized that with unity and belief, greatness is always within reach, both on and off the pitch.

The governor acknowledged the visiting team, Bendel Insurance, who he said displayed commendable courage and sportsmanship throughout the match. He gifted them 10 Million Naira.

The Facebook message read

I had the pleasure of attending the thrilling Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter between Enyimba Football Club of Aba and Bendel Insurance of Benin. In a match that tested resilience and character, Enyimba came from behind twice to secure a well-deserved victory, claiming all three points and rising to the top of the NPFL table.

During halftime, I joined the team in the dressing room to offer words of encouragement. Our boys responded with heart and determination, giving a remarkable account of themselves and ultimately emerging victorious.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our teeming fans who turned out in large numbers to support our team. Your energy electrified the stadium in a good way. With your unwavering support, Enyimba truly lived up to its name as the People’s Elephant.

I also wish to acknowledge our guests, Bendel Insurance, who displayed commendable courage and sportsmanship throughout the match.

Special thanks to the coaching crew, the entire Enyimba FC board, and its distinguished chairman, Kanu Nwankwo (Papillo), for their leadership and commitment to excellence.

Today, Enyimba FC showcased the true “can-do” spirit of our people. On and off the pitch, we continue to prove that with unity and belief, greatness is always within reach.
