The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has been drawn to tears following the content of the video from the latest mass killings at Ogidi, Idemili North Council of Anambra State earlier today.
In a visible painful reaction, he described the act as “one killing too many !
In a press statement issued by his Campaign Council and signed by the Director, Chido Obidiegwu, Prince Ukachukwu pointed out that “The people of Anambra State have risen up in unison to denounce our professor of mass killings and mass burial.
“We are shocked to our marrows to acknowledge that barely twenty -four hours after Tuesday, Sept 9,2025 mass killings as a result of agents of Gov Chukwuma Soludo’s irresponsible trigger-happy rag-tag army shooting at the thickly populated Onitsha Main Market, another similar mass killings occured at a burial in Ogidi, Idemili North headquarters of the state.
According to him, “This is one killing too many, and we speak on behalf of the people to denounce the State Government’s mounting security incompetence. “Surely this is not our culture or way of life.
“On behalf of our people we can say that the land, the spirits and the people have clearly rejected Chukwuma Soludo from superintending the State anymore.
“As the conscience of the people of the state now I, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) am stepping forward to rescue Anambra State and her citizens from this seeming murderous regime.
“Killing, shedding of innocent blood remains a taboo to us.
“Therefore we can no longer sit by and watch Prof Soludo turn Anambra State to killing field. No. Not at all.
“I humbly therefore request every electorate to vote Ukachukwu/Senator Uche Ekwunife of the APC on Nov 8, 2025 in order to stop this mass killings and blood shed that has characterized the four years of Soludo.
“One is indeed frightened to imagine what the situation would be if, God forbid, Soludo is allowed to continue. It’s better imagined because many citizens would be chased into exile. After all no traditional ruler, no religious or community leader is free to speak their minds.
“Therefore Soludo should never come back again.
Ukachukwu urged the citizens to seize the opportunity of the approaching Nov 8 Governorship election in the State to send Soludo and his killing squad out, and for them to vote massively for himself.
He cautioned that “any vote for Soludo and his All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, is a vote for more killings. And the blood of all the victims that have been killed will be on the head of such voters and their household.
“Anambra must be rescue and redeemed.
“Please come together to vote Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma) on November 8, 2025!”
According to eye witness who gave her name simply as Madam Grace, “it was Thursday, September 11, when suspected cult boys stormed where we are having burial ceremony in Ezi quarters of Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area, and without any warning opened fire.

They were said to have trailed their victims to the burial ceremony where they were sure they would show up. That the attackers apparently sent advance team who called to ascertain that the targets were on ground, before the shooters rode into the venue on motorbikes and opened fire instantly.
Governor Soludo expressed grief over the killings, describing them as “barbaric and senseless.”

He said police operatives the from Ogidi Division, led by its Divisional Police Officer, responded swiftly to restore order and took casualties away to nearby hospitals.
