The wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has received commendation from philanthropist, Dr. Oliver Umeh for her outstanding efforts in mobilizing women towards adopting healthy living attitudes and addressing key issues affecting families and society.
Dr. Umeh’s praise underscores the impact of Dr. Soludo’s initiatives, which have been recognized globally, including by the World Health Organization and UNICEF.
Dr Umeh thanked the Governor’s wife for using the August meeting to embark on a massive outreach to sensitize women and ladies for better exploits in resolving their health and family challenges.
He was impressed the governor’s wife is drawing attention to rising moral deficits in child raising, depreciation of family values, quest for illicit wealth, parental neglect and drug abuse among school children.
Dr Umeh who is the Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer,CEO, of Victory Hospital & Children Clinics, Onitsha, Anambra State thanked Dr.Mrs Soludo for founding Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo and her dedication and commitment in offering women opportunities for ideological reforms, social growth, and economic empowerment.
He particularly appreciated her stance that well to do women and already empowered women should reach out to members who are struggling with social status,faith and life to uplift them spiritually, socially, economically and otherwise.
He also applauded the partnership existing between Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Anambra governor’s wife, Dr.(Mrs) Nonye Soludo in helping the poor and needy in society, referencing the presentation of 1000 Anambra women with a business re-capitalization grant of N50,000 each to support their existing small businesses as an economic sustainability package.
He further thanked the governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo for all his support in executing the Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo programmes.
