The coach of KMK Foundation Academy, Coach Prince Usen Ebuk, has attributed his team’s impressive performance against Enyimba FC to an unexpected starting lineup and carefully planned tactics.

Speaking after the match in the ongoing 7th Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico Select preseason tournament, Coach Ebuk revealed that his strategy was designed to catch Enyimba off guard and capitalize on the opportunity.

By starting players who were not expected to feature in the lineup, Coach Ebuk’s team was able to gain an advantage and secure a draw against the formidable opponents.

The coach attributed the team’s success to their well-thought-out plan, stating, “We had the first half and would have won with 3 goals, so I planned the game and it worked out for us. By reserving key players for the bench and starting unexpected players, the team was able to catch their opponents off guard and capitalize on the opportunity”.

When asked about scoring first against the former African champions, the coach revealed that he had anticipated Enyimba’s response. “I knew they would come out against us guns blazing,” the coach said, but the team’s strategy and focus allowed them to maintain their lead and secure the draw.

With four rounds of games under their belt, the coach expressed confidence in the team’s ability to win the tournament. “It is very possible,” the coach said, emphasizing the importance of hard work and determination in achieving their goal.
