Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Blessed Iwene Tansi Major Seminary, Onitsha have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their academic partnerships.

The signing ceremony took place on August 1, 2025, at the Vice Chancellor’s office, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Carol Arinze-Umobi commended the management of Blessed Iwene Tansi Major Seminary for their interest in affiliating with the university’s Department of Religion and Human Relations.

She assured them of the university’s full cooperation and support.

The Rector Blessed Iwene Tansi Major Seminary, Fr. Fabian Obi, expressed gratitude to the university management for their support and pledged the seminary’s commitment to fostering a good relationship between the two institutions.

The MOU signing was witnessed by key officials from both institutions, including Mr. Victor Modebelu, Acting Registrar, Prof. Angela Ufele-Obiesie, Director of Academic Planning, and Mr. Njelita Louis from the university and Fr. Gregory Nwachukwu, Fr. Peter Okafor, and Fr. Celestine Ezeoke from the seminary.
