It was a moment of grief for the family of Odunukwe of Ibenabor Oraukwu, in Idemmili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, as they bury their son, Chukwura Odunukwe.
Speaking during the burial ceremony, a cousin of the deceased, Chizoba Nwobi, popularly known as Mmili Maraugo, described the deceased as an industrious person, very hardworking and a peacemaker during his time on earth.
Chizoba further described the elder brother of the deceased, Chief Bar. Charles Odunukwe (Okemmili) as a philanthropist, who believes in the slogan of “we rise by lifting others.”
She said that Okemmmili has given her so many opportunities – business, carrier and social opportunities. “He helps the poor. I am one of the beneficiaries,” she concluded. ”
According to her, Okemmli has paid alot of school fees for the less privileged, and has taken care of the health challanges of the down trodden in the community.
She commended him for using Sharon Foundation, which she is the coordinator in reaching to the people, and praised him for the opportunity given to her in her politcal carrier as Chairman Oraukwu under the People’s Demorcratic Party ( PDP), adding that one day, God in his infinite mercy will crown him Governor of Anambra State or National Chairman of PDP.
Nwobi prayed for God’s guidance to the bereaved family, especially at this trying period .
