Former Super Falcons goalkeeper Judith Chime has extended her support to the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super 6 by donating 24 goalkeeper jerseys to all the goalkeepers representing the six participating teams in the championship.

The initiative, which has drawn praise from players and officials alike, is part of Chime’s continued commitment to developing women’s football in Nigeria, particularly goalkeeping.

Speaking on behalf of the U.S.-based former international, program coordinator Ifeanyi Alaribe confirmed that Chime is also offering a cash prize of N200,000, a new pair of gloves, and an additional jersey for the Best Goalkeeper of the Season.

In a further show of encouragement for coaching staff, Chime is awarding N75,000 to the Best Goalkeeper Coach of the Season.

“Judith has always had a deep love for goalkeeping, and this gesture is her way of giving back to the game that gave her so much,” Alaribe said.

Chime, who was known for her towering presence and commanding performances between the posts for Nigeria, has consistently supported grassroots development. She has also been awarding N10,000 monthly to the best goalkeeper in the Nigeria Women Football League, encouraging excellence and consistency in the position.

The NWFL Super 6, currently holding in Ikene, brings together the top six teams in the league to compete for the national title. Chime’s donations are seen as a morale booster for the participating goalkeepers and coaching staff.

Her gesture has been widely praised by stakeholders, who hope it inspires more former players and supporters to invest in the development of women’s football in the country.
