The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, *Barr. Dr. Kingsley Ezekwelu (KK)*, has vowed to set a new standard of representation focused on work and empowerment, not stomach infrastructure.
Ezekwelu, who toured Abatete communities in continuation of his grassroots consultation, said his mission to the Green Chamber is to do business on how to favour Idemili.
“I am going to set a new standard. Those who will work, not stomach infrastructure. I have always promised to use part of my salary to support my people and thank them for the primaries election,” he said.
The House of Representatives hopeful said , he will not share money for votes but will empower his people through structured programmes.
“I am not giving money but will make sure I empower my people especially the youth through youth empowerment programme. Self determination and pursuit of result is the first thing in the life of anybody that wants to survive. There is no short cut for success.”
He paid glowing tribute to his benefactor and political mentor, Prince Nicolas Ukachukwu, for raising him.
“I have served a man who loves man and humanity and his name is Prince Nicolas Ukachukwu. Anybody who is not grateful for what God has done in his life is not worthy. I served Nicolas from 2005 till date, I cannot forget him in a hurry.”
KK listed his programmes to include youth mentorship and orientation workshops to redirect their paths, Education Trust Fund and scholarship for those who want to go to school, women empowerment programme .
“Youths are the bedrock in my administration. We are doing orientation programme for women as well because if you empower a woman you empower a family. And for the fathers we will provide stipend to them to leverage their lives. I am here, connected, networked to serve my people. Send me,” he appealed.
Earlier, the President General of Abatete, Idemili North LGA, High Chief Chimaeme Ezeigbo Nwadike while addressing APC directly, said Abatete has always welcomed APC and provided venue for its meetings.
“This is the only Party that came to Abatete to look for President General. Not that others do not come, but they don’t inform me, they only come and go. I am grateful for APC for the recognition,” he said.
According to him, APC has strong structure in Abatete which will help KK win.
“That structure will catapult you to higher level. You said you are going to the Green Chamber to do business on how to favour Idemili, I love how you said that you have youths in heart. With this we are grateful. We wish you well. The spirit in you will keep you where you will be.”
In a royal endorsement,*Obi Ezineliajaii Agbaja Abatete* Okey Mou Aroh, prayed for KK’s victory, declaring that there will be no tsunami and that everybody will vote for him.
Obi Agbaja, also known as Ike Abatete, described the coming election as difficult but winnable.
“Election you are going in is a difficult one but you will be there. There will not be tsunami, everybody will vote for you. Governor Soludo has joined APC, those at your back are great and iam one of them,” the Monarch said.
“This election is a clear one. The place you are told to vote on the day of election is where you will vote. I am praying that these people following you will follow you in truth and in spirit and bring those that will vote for you.”
“Victory is yours, you will represent us well. What is happening, others in seat will not see you. Whatever that will cause you to win this election, may heaven cause it to come, both human resources. Those around you, I pray will tell you the truth and those around you will work with them.”
Youth leaders in Abatete also declared: “We love your statement by considering the youths, . We will support you.”
