The Nationwide League One (NLO) Secretariat has initiated a discreet investigation into Campos FC’s 15-2 win over A&A Kiviasennus in a matchday five playoff game at Awka City Stadium.

The lopsided scoreline raised eyebrows among spectators, who questioned the legitimacy of the match.

The NLO Secretariat swiftly responded, issuing a statement less than 20 minutes after the game, citing Article 4:17 of the NLO rules and regulations.

The investigation aims to determine if any match-fixing or compromise occurred.

The outcome of the match significantly impacted the standings, propelling Campos FC to the top of the group table with 12 points and a substantial goal advantage.

The focus of investigation include:

– Determine if match compromise occurred, ascertain legitimacy of the 15-2 scoreline and review match footage and evidence.

The NLO Secretariat’s prompt action underscores its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the competition.

The investigation’s findings will likely have significant implications for the league’s standings and participating teams.
