Nnamdi Azikiwe University Set To Hold 2025 Igu Aro

The Directorate of Igbo Village and Institute of African Heritage Studies (IVIAHS), Nnamdi Azikiwe University in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment, Anambra State is set to hold her Igu Aro UNIZIK 2025 edition.

The sociocultural and traditional event geared towards promoting the Igbo heritage and showcasing the Igbo race in various perspectives will hold on Friday, 4th April, 2025 at the ASUU Secretariat, UNIZIK from 10am.

This year’s edition will feature the unveiling of Igbo calendar and Igbo version of UNIZIK academic calendar while there will also be exhibition of UNIZIK traditional medicine, exhibition of Usekwu Igbo and inauguration of Igbo Village permanent site.

The event which will bring together Ndi Igbo of various extractions will also feature various Igbo cultural and traditional events across the Igbo land.

Chief Host is Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, Acting Vice-Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and Host is Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Bonachristus Umeogu, Director of IVIAHS, UNIZIK.
