Charged with his club’s recent threads of improvement, Enyimba gaffer, Stanley Eguma is confident his next huddle against the youthful side, Ikkorodu United will come out good

Speaking to journalists after his side defeated El-Kanemi 1-0 in MatchDay28 in Aba, coach Eguma said Enyimba will work hard for the game against the Oga Boys in Lagos.

“Yeah, they are a youthful side just like we played today against El-Kanemi. We know that they have very good players and they have been together for a very long time. I think that understanding and cohesion is helping them a lot but the points are very important to us in Enyimba FC and we’re going there to throw everything in our arsenal to ensure we come out with a good result. We are still optimistic that we can come back with a good result from Lagos”, he hopes

Speaking of the MatchDay28 encounter in Aba, the former Rivers United gaffer said the resul shows that the players are beginning to step out of low psychology and confidence returning

“Well it is a good result, it brightens our hope and confidence is returning back to the team, it took some time before we got to this stage. We came in and it was very difficult, it was very rough. Players psychology was very low, morale was down but I think now the players are starting to believe in themselves because we have given them the direction and that is what we needed”, he said

Man Of the Match, Joseph Atule’s 29th minute solitary goal gave Enyimba the bragging rights against visiting El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
