The nwfl premiership 2025 week 3 game between Heartland queens of Owerri and Abia Angels fc of Aba ended in a barren draw at the Dan Anyiam stadium Owerri.

The home side from the blast of the first whistle showed intention to score and take the lead but the visiting Abia Angels fc team showed more character and tactical discipline paid off as they kept the Naze ladies off goal scoring positions.

Goalkeeper Osinachi Abani of Abia Angels fc made good saves to keep her side away from conceding any goal during the first half of the game.

The second half of the game saw a more determined visiting Abia Angels dictating possession and showing more attacking abilities with Mary Lucky and Chiamaka Ojialor ripping apart the backline of heartland queens but poor final touch denied them goals.

Head coach of Abia Angels fc of Aba coach Adanna Nwaneri Nnah was optimistic of her team performance after the game ” We came with a positive attitude to pick up maximum points but we didn’t seal it up with our final touch but it still good we picked a point here and will get back home to prepare for our next game also I commend the players for a good fight today.”

Abia Angels fc will confront confluence queens of Lokoja for the week 4 game next week in Umuahia Abia State.
