The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Joseph Ifeanyichukwu Ikechebelu has assured the University Community that the menace of admission racketeering will not raise its ugly head under his watch.

Prof. Ikechebelu made the promise on Tuesday, 26th November, 2024 during a meeting with the Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments and Directors of Units at the University auditorium.

Prof. Ikechebelu stated that one of the challenges which trumped up by what transpired in the University following the dissolved Governing Council’s style of Vice-Chancellor Selection was admission racketeering and insecurity.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor informed that his administration is poised to tackle this menace head on as it is a new dawn for reconciliation, peace and progress with the philosophy of BLESSeD UNIZIK.

He warned individuals who engage in such activities to retrace their steps or face the music of the consequences of their actions.

Prof. Ikechebelu assured that under his watch, the University will stand on its feet to reclaim its legacy among other Universities.
