Nigeria Red Cross Society of Nigeria has assured of its partnership with media practitioners for delivery of excellent reportage on activities of the organisation and their services.

Lecturing on the activities of Red Cross during a one-day workshop held with journalists at Amawbia, Anambra State, the Brach Secretary, Nigeria Red Cross Society, Engr Kingsley Okoye, said the meeting was to build the capacity of journalists as regards to accurate reporting of its humanitarian activities, and appealed for prompt reportage of its activities.

In his speech, the Branch Communication Officer, Mr Joseph Obidigwe, stated that the workshop was organised for the media to know, appreciate and understand what Red Cross stands for, its emblems, use of emblems, mandate, and fundamental principles.

Earlier in her contribution, Ruth Chigbue recognised the role of media in the society and called for adequate partnership between the media and Red Cross.
