Enyimba FC Gaffer, Coach Yemi Daniel Olanrewaju has insisted that he and his boys are determined for a positive result in Yenegoa against Bayelsa United.

The People’s Elephant will on Sunday be guest to the ‘Prosperity Boys’ at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenegoa in one of the match day 10 NPFL games of the season.

In a chat with Enyimba Media ahead of the weekend encounter, Coach Yema said the Aba giants will hope to carry the winning momentum into the first game of the month of November even as he expects a difficult game from the Yenegoa side.

In the last 14 meetings between both sides since the existence of Bayelsa United, the visitors have recorded 6 wins while the hosts have 4 wins under their belt just as 4 games ended in a draw.

Last season, when the People’s Elephant visited Yenegoa, they ran away with a 1-2 score line with goals from Ekene Awazie and last season’s top striker, Chijioke Mbaoma while former Enyimba Keeper and captain, Ojo Olorunleke saved a penalty.

“Yeah we know it’s going to be a difficult game, we won them last time in Yenegoa and this time you know they would  double their preparedness.

“But we know what is at stake as well, so we are going they with a lot of determination and hope to get the maximum points.

“We are not going to defend and sit back, we are going to attack them and aim for the maximum points.

“We know it’s a difficult ground to play, it’s a small pitch and we don’t really know them much due to lots of changes.

“They have a new Coach and a lot of new players, we don’t really know them much like last season we knew most of their important players.

“And having won the last game at home, we want to complement on the last three points at home but we know it’s gonna be tough.

“Almost all the teams who play Enyimba play above their strength that’s why they play us with everything and in their next game you see them struggling sometimes.

“But, it is what it is, when you’re playing a bigger side, you don’t have anything to lose, so the pressure is on us to get the three maximum points”, Coach Yema noted.

The Young Gaffer will continue to miss the services of winger, Clinton Jephta who during the week helped the Flying Eagles retain the WAFU B U-20 trophy in Lome , Togo against Ghana.
