The management of Enyimba Football Club sent a message of sympathy to Heartland FC following the death of Coach Christian Obi who lost his life in a fatal accident involving the team.

In a press release by the Enyimba Media Officer, David Orji, the team is devastated to hear about the tragic death of Coach Obi.

The statement read:

Enyimba FC is devastated to hear about the tragic passing of Coach Christian Obi of Heartland FC, who lost his life in yesterday’s road accident along the Okigwe road, en route to Abakaliki.

Our hearts go out to the entire Heartland FC family, particularly his loved ones, during this incredibly difficult time. We share in their grief and shock, and our thoughts are with them.

Coach Obi’s untimely passing is a monumental loss to Nigerian football. He was a dedicated and passionate individual who gave his all to the beautiful game. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the players he mentored.

May his soul rest in peace, and may God grant Heartland FC the strength to bear this irreparable loss. May his memory continue to inspire and motivate us all.

David Orji
