The sole Sponsor and organizer of the the highly rated annual Ifeanyi Ekwueme TICO/SELECT Preseason Football Tournament, Ifeanyi Ekwueme has rolled out the packages for the 2024 edition of the competition.
Recall that Abia Warriors are the defending champions of the tournament held last at Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
Speaking ahead of the tournament’s sixth edition which kicks off in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state on August 23, 2024, the Enyimba Sporting Director said this year’s competition will come with fresh innovations and it’s usual rituals of fun fair and rasmatazz.
“The 6th edition of the IFEANYI EKWUEME TICO/SELECT PRESEASON Tournament which is solely sponsored by Ex – international Ifeanyi Ekwueme as usual comes with lots of benefits
“Primarily, it’s an opportunity giving to teams to prepare their players ahead of the new season.
“We are giving all Technical Crew members of the participating teams branded official wears.
“The LOC will also give out 5 SELECT match balls to all the teams playing in this year’s edition.
“The two finalists will get a set of 20 pieces SELECT Jerseys each, worth Eight hundred thousand naira only (N800,000).
“The winner of this year’s edition will go home with a giant gold trophy, 30 gold medals while the runner-up will go home with 30 pieces of silver medals.
“There is also consolation prizes – Best Coach Award, Highest Goal Scorer Award, Best Player Award and Best Goalkeeper Award among many other incentives including man of the match awards.
