The Onitsha Football Camp, an intensive football programme for lessons and trials has kicked off at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium Onitsha, Anambra State.

The four-day football programme which kicked off on Tuesday, 6th August 2024 and to wind off on Friday, 9th August 2024, is an initiative of Mr. Emeka Ralph also known as Coach Sarafi, an Ex-Rangers and youth football development advocate.

The programme which is the first of its kind in the state for youths of age bracket 11 to 17 years, is geared towards equipping the youths with football knowledge and skills as well as unearthing the next generation of super stars.

According to Coach Sarafi while speaking with sports writers on Tuesday, one of the objectives of the camping programme is to equip the youths with adequate knowledge on how to transform their football dreams into reality. He informed that the camp kick starts by 8am for each of the days at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium Onitsha, Anambra State.

The former board member of the Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) noted that the camp will also discover and expose gifted players to greater and better challenges in football and also teach them life lessons, steer them away from anti-social behaviour and criminal activities.

He urged parents and guardians to seize the opportunity to get their children and wards who nurse ambition of playing professional football to be part of the camping programme as it will serve as a life changing moment for their career.

Coach Emeka Ralph a.k.a Sarafi, a top football coach and administrator in the state is the Founder and Technical Director of Fortune International Football Academy.
