Heartland FC will be on the prowl again this evening at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne when they take on home team, Remo Stars FC in one of the Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 36 tie.

The club will be hoping to continue the remaining part of the season mantra which is to secure as many points as possible before the season ends. The Owerri side were in their elements in the last he game with Doma United whom they dazed 3-1. Not even an equaliser from the Savannah Tigers early in the second half and a red card to influential defender, Divine Ukadike could derail the club’s quest to grab another win.

Ukadike would be sadly missed against the Sky Blue Stars as he serves his one game ban for the red card he got in the home fixture but the technical crew led by Christian Obi has picked a better replacement as they go in the hunt for another vital away points.

Heartland FC won the first leg 3-1 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on December 28th, 2023 with Promise Anyanwu, Onyekachi Okafor and Ikechukwu Brandon on the score sheets for the Naze Millionaires while Sikiru Alimi got the Sky Blue Stars only goal of the game. Before that fixture, both teams had met twice with Remo Stars thrashing Heartland FC 3-0 at Ikenne on December 26th, 2021 with Hassan Abda’Allah as coach then. The reverse fixture played 12th April, 2022 ended goalless in Owerri.

The Owerri side have assured that they won’t leave any stone unturned in the remaining three games and it is left for the players and coaches to join heads together to ensure that the team leaves the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne this evening with very lasting impressions.
