Police In Anambra Nabs Notorious Cultist, Onyedika

One notorious cultist, Amalu Onyedika, aged 32 has been arrested by the operatives of the Anambra State Police Command.

The cultist who is an indigene of Eziagu in Enugu State was arrested in Nkwelle, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.

He is from Eziagu in Enugu State and reportedly has been terrorizing the residents of Nkwelle with his gang members.

Onyedika is said to have long terrorized Nkwelle community before his arrest.

Confirming the arrest on Friday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Tochukwu Ikenga said that one locally fabricated pistol and four live ammunition were recovered from him.

According to him, the suspect who claimed to be a Technician and dealer in Aluminum and Glass windows at the Building Material Market Onitsha, later admitted being a member of the junior Vikings secret cult.

He said, “The suspected cultist said he joined the notorious gang at the age of 22.

“The state Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam have directed that the investigation be widened and deepened to bring to book other gang members.

“The suspect will be charged to court after the investigation.”
