A passionate beach soccer player and goalkeeper of the Jigawa Golden Stars Beach Soccer Club, Mr Isah Arome has enjoined young children to embrace the game.

Describing Nigerian Beach Soccer as one big family, Arome said the game is a very exciting one that unites.

“I will like to encourage the young ones that all of us should not channel all our energy and focus on the regular football which everybody believes is the best and most loving”,

“But beach soccer is a very exciting game to play. I have come to love beach soccer. I have given it all, my time, everything and l am enjoying it. If you play it, you get to meet people. We are one big family in beach soccer and it is a game that unites people”,

“Beach Soccer League is one of the fastest growing league in Nigeria now. And with time economically you will get to see that young people will be benefitting from the game of Beach Soccer”,

“We that are playing it at the moment may not be the ones to enjoy it but the young ones coming after us will be the ones to enjoy it. We are just laying the foundation for them to build on. I encourage them to embrace the game of Beach Soccer so that the game will not die after us”, he said

Speaking on the second round league holding at Moonshine Arena, Nnewi, Arome whose team due to financial constraints came with only five players described the season as one of the toughest for him playing beach soccer but he takes solace in the adventure of meeting new people in new region.

“This season has been one of the toughest seasons for me playing beach soccer but I am happy that I am meeting new faces, new people. We are in a new region which has not experienced the game of beach soccer in this volume”,

“I like the way the good people of Anambra state received us, relating with us and also embracing the game. Kudos to the organizers of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League Second Round as having a permanent beach soccer stadium in Anambra is one of the greatest achievements l have seen so far “,

“For the state coming into the league for the first time and building a beach soccer stadium is a massive achievement. Another place we have such facility is in Kaduna”.

Arome commended the sole sponsor of Beach Soccer in Anambra state, Prof Victor Mmadubuko for his efforts to make beach soccer a household name in Anambra state.
