Nigeria’s Dubem Nwachukwu has qualified for the final of the men’s 400m at the African Games, clocking a time of 45.89s to finish 2nd in the third semifinal of the event in Accra.

Muzala Samukonga underlined why he could be the favourite for the title, running the fastest qualifier in 45.51s to win.

The field was no match for the huge figure of Chidi Okezie as he overpowered them, storming to a Season’s Best of 45.63s in the first semifinal of the men’s 400m at the African Games!

He was just 0.03s off his PB as he defeated Boitumelo Masilo who posted 45.87s and Gerren Muwishi in 46.16s.
