 Bocknor Academy  Emerge Champions Of 2023 Gwagwalada Football League

Bocknor Football Academy at the weekend emerged champions of the 2023 edition of the Gwagwalada Football League.

The League which was organized by the Gwagwalada Football Council, had 24 teams within Gwagwalada and its environs participating in the four months tournament.

To Emerge winners, Bocknor Academy defeated Medical Strikers by five goals to three on penalties after a one all full time scores.

It was Medical Strikers that drew the first blood barely six minutes into the final match that had the FCT FA Chairman Mouthar Adams Mohammed as the Special Guest of Honour.

Bocknor Academy wasted no time in getting the equalizer three minutes later when towering Striker Tobechukwu Adibe out jumped all the Medical boys to nod in the equalizer.

The match became a ding dong affairs until the end of proceeding.

Speaking, immediately after match, the Chairman of FCT Football Association Adams Mouthar Mohammed said he was overwhelmed by the performance of the teams, coupled with the perfect organization put together by the Gwagwalada Football Council . He said that his administration remains proud of Gwagwalada Football Council, considering the sound structure in the Council. He advised other Councils in the Territory to emulate what is happening in Gwagwalada, to move grassroots football forward.

Bocknor Academy will on Saturday tackle Sheikhadam FC in the finals of the 2023 edition of Gwagwalada Football Association Cup.
