Government Begins Verification Exercise For Retirees In Oyo State

Oyo State Government through the Local Government Staff Pension Board has started physical verification for all retired primary school teachers and retired local government staff in the state.

The verification tagged, ‘I Am Alive’ started on Monday, at Anglican Church Hall, Aremo, in Ibadan.

The exercise is expected to continue to other local government areas in the state from Monday,14th August, 2023 to Thursday, 24th August, 2023.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Lukman Muraina, listed documents pensioners are expected to bring.

The following documents are to be made available by all Pensioners of Local Government – Staffs and Public Primary Schools

(A) Means of Identifications – Any of the following (1) Voter’s Card, (i) International Passport National Identity Number (NIN), (iv) Driver’s License

“(B)Original of the following documents: (iv) Computation Sheet, (v) Re-Computation Sheet, (vi) Pension Certificate,

“(C) Two (2) Recent Passport Size Photographs (Note: with no glasses or wig)”

Present at the event were the members of the executives of the Nigerian Union of Pension in Oyo state.

They commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the initiative and prayed for his success in office.
