The duo of Victor Oyemade and Funsho Samson cruised into the Quarter-Finals of the Teqball Men’s Singles event with a 12 – 0, 12 – 0 win over Septime Guenole and Chedrac Alban Ahomadi of Benin Republic and Abdulai Bangura and Christian Lavelie of Sierra Lome 12 – 1, 12 – 3 to top Group C.

Speaking with NIGTEQ media after the game, Funsho re-echoed their commitment to settle for nothing but the qualifications for the World Beach Games and the Gold medals.

“We have said it before and we are saying it again, it is the Gold and qualification to the World Beach Games or nothing”.
Victor Oyemade on the other hand acknowledged that the opponents are not a match for them. “Our opponents so far are learners and did not pose any threat to us at all”, Oyemade stated.

The Mixed Doubles event began this afternoon from 3pm local time with Funsho Samson pairing with Rashidat Salau.
