With the Anambra FA Cup in the semi finals stage, the goalkeeper of one of the semi finalists Peace FC, Chigozie Akubuike has said that the plan of the team is to be in the finals of the tournament.

Akubuike spoke to Newspathfinder shortly after his side shocked Ochomma FC out of the tournament 4-1 on penalties.

Chigozie Akubuike stopped two penalty kicks and scored one to confirm his team’s place in the semi finals.

“Our plan is to repeat what we did last year. Going to the finals again is the ultimate for us. It will be a big thing for us as a team”,

” Being in the finals is our major goal and we believe that if we find ourselves in the finals again, we should be able to lift the trophy”, he said

He described as a thing of joy the victory recorded against Ochomma FC by his team at the quarter finals encounter played at the Awka City Stadium.

The two semi finals matches will be played on Sunday, 19th March, 2023 at the NEROS Stadium, Nanka.

Edel FC Oba will play against Global FC Onitsha by 2pm while Peace FC will meet Ozalla FC by 4pm.
