Two days to the finals of the novel Anambra All Stars Competition, the coach of one of the finalists, Noble All Stars FC Onitsha, Benjamin Chukwudi (ODODO) says that the trophy belongs to his team.
Speaking with Newspathfinder, the coach said his team is working hard to ensure that their supporters will not be disappointed.
Coach Ododo who described his team’s qualifications to the finals as an act of God believed that the trophy will be a compensation for their hard work.
“Honestly I can’t really say but all the same we say glory be to God. We had been written off from the onset but look at where we are today, the finals. It is amazing”.
“I worked on my team. We worked as a team, technically and otherwise. We did all we could to achieve this goal today and we are not backing up”
In our first match, I was 2 goals down, they trashed us 2-0 at our home ground. That alone gave us out but we corrected our mistakes through that game”
“I can’t say exactly, but my expectation is this, certainly we are going home with that trophy. That is the basic thing, there is no two ways about it. Noble All Stars FC is going home with the trophy”,
“It’s a derby match because we are going to play against sister club. We train on the same field with them. It’s going to be a family affair but all the same we are going to handle it”, he said.
