Senator Ubah  Rewards Participants Of IUF Quiz Competition

Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, winner of the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial District Election, on Thursday, reassured students of his Senatorial District of his continuous support to education by encouraging reading, academic hard work, excellence and discipline.

Senator Ubah stated this when he hosted participants in the recently concluded Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation (IUF) Quiz Competition and their school Coordinators at his home, Umuanuka Otolo Nnewi.

 

The lawmaker stated that any society that strive for growth and development should embrace education as a fundamental tool.

He described education as the root of every development stating that the future of every nation cannot be secured if the education sector is not given necessary support and right policies put in place to encourage the sector.

Senator Ubah revealed that as part of his philatropic gestures, the best twenty SS3 students from each local government area of Anambra South Senatorial zone will be rewarded with full payment of their West African Examination Council (WAEC) examination fees while five outstanding schools from each of the local government areas shall each receive two Desktop Computers and Science Kits.

He also disclosed that the prize giving shall take place on Saturday March 11, 2023 at Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium, Nnewi-Ozubulu, and reassured his constituents that he will leave no stone unturned in partnering with relevant authorities to support and encourage diligent students in the Senatorial District.

Senator Ubah who was flanked by his wife Mrs Uche Ubah, the Director-General of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation Chief Vin Onyeka, his Chief of Staff, Comrade Chigozie Gerald Udogu and his Administrative Secretary Chinazor Ajumorah also congratulated the best participants in the quiz competition which comprised of top ten scorers in SS1, SS2 and SS3 classes for doing their families and schools proud.

He announced that each of them shall receive annual financial grants from his Foundation, the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation for a period of four years.

Senator Ubah also congratulated the coordinators of the students for the tutelage and urged them keep being the best in their field of endeavour.

Highpoints of the occasion was the display of the gift items and certificates of participation that will be handed over to the winners come Saturday as well as a one-on-one interaction between Senator Ubah, his wife, Mrs Uche Ubah and top participants in the IUF Quiz Competition.
