Rangers Target Top Marks At Tingo Tournament

Management, coaches and players of Rangers International F.C have resolved to come out tops at the Tingo Tournament billed to hold in Lagos between December 1-4, 2022.

While addressing the players and officials of the club during a dinner party organized at the end of the nine-day, Close Camping exercise in Awka, Administrative Secretary of the ‘Flying Antelopes’, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, challenged the players to come up with their best at the tournament that carries a One Hundred Million Naira prize money.

“Let me start by congratulating you all for the good conduct displayed during our stay in Awka. This goes a long way to show our preparedness for the coming football season which starts with a great performance at the first tournament of the season taking place in Lagos,” stated the young football administrator.

He further said, “With the caliber of teams invited for the tournament by the I.M.C, I assure you it will be tough but we have what it takes to emerge champions of that tournament.”

Also speaking, technical adviser of the Enugu side, Coach Abdul Maikaba, thanked management for their show of magnanimity while challenging the players to up their games as the start date of the new football season is almost near, stressing, “This display by management greatly shows that they have our collective interest at heart. We must challenge ourselves to be at our best all the time especially with the tournament taking place in Lagos.”

Captain of the side, Uche John, in his reply, thanked management, coaches and backroom staff for the high standard of the close camping program promising that he and his team mates would do all they can to start the season on a high especially
with the Tingo tournament.
