Organisers have confirmed Thursday, November 17 as date for the final of the 4th Edition of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Preseason Tournament, SportsPathfinder.com.ng reports.

The tournament which got underway on October 20 and was earlier billed to come to a fitting end on 30th had suffered several hitches over logistic related issues.

But the organisers have now confirmed that November 17 is now the new realistic but terminal date for the 2022 edition of the tournament with Nnewi United billed to slug it out with Apex Kranes FC for the top prize.

“I can confirm to you now that Thursday, November 17, has been fixed for the final of the 2022 Tico/Select Preseason Tournament”, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, Africa Representative of the Polish Sportswear manufacturing giants, Tico, as well as Danish sportswear makers, Select said.

“The final match, involving Nigeria National League, NNL side, Nnewi United and Apex Krane FC, will hold at the Liberty Pitch, Enugu, at 4pm”, the former Nigeria international further explained.

To reach the final, Nnewi United saw off Golden United FA 3-0 in the semi final while 10-man Apex Krane overpowered Ingas FC 2-1 to set up Thursday’s final confrontation against Nnewi United.
