The management of Rangers International FC of Enugu has called on football fans across the country to storm the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, to support the Flying Antelopes in their crucial CAF Champions League second preliminary round clash against MC Alger of Algeria.
The encounter is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, by 2:00 p.m.
In an official invitation dated October 14, 2026, and signed by the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Rangers Management Corporation, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, the club urged members of the Nigerian football family, stakeholders, sports administrators and well-meaning Nigerians to turn out en masse to cheer the team to victory.
According to the management, the fixture is beyond an ordinary football match, as Rangers, a historic Nigerian football institution, carries the hopes, pride and aspirations of Enugu State and the entire nation on the continental stage.
The club noted that a strong performance and positive result in Abeokuta would put the NPFL champions in a more favourable position ahead of the decisive return leg in Algeria.
“Your presence will make a difference,” the management stated, stressing that unity, belief and collective support are vital at this defining moment of their continental campaign.
Barrister Ezeaku, who signed on behalf of the management, technical crew and players, also acknowledged the contributions of partner organisations, sponsors, corporate bodies and other stakeholders to the progress of the club, urging them to stand firmly behind Rangers.
The management further appealed to supporters to create an atmosphere worthy of the occasion, insisting that the team needs every form of encouragement and solidarity to overcome the respected Algerian side and reaffirm the competitive strength of Nigerian club football.
As the countdown to Sunday continues, football enthusiasts across Ogun, Enugu and beyond are being urged to make their presence felt in Abeokuta and cheer the Flying Antelopes to victory.
