The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Anambra State Chapter, has inaugurated a three-man electoral committee to conduct election for a new executive as the tenure of the present administration ends.
The committee was inaugurated at the association’s monthly congress held in Awka on Thursday, September 17, 2026, by the state chairman, Comrade Chimezie Anaso.
Mr Emmanuel Ndukuba was named Chairman of the committee, with Chukwuka Ugokwe as Secretary and Daniel Ukpai as member.
The inauguration was endorsed by members at the congress, underscoring the chapter’s resolve to ensure a smooth and transparent transition.
The committee is expected to immediately commence preparations for the poll in accordance with SWAN’s guidelines, as the chapter moves into the final phase of its leadership transition.
