The Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Chief Patrick Agha Mba has congratulated Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi on his resounding re-election as Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association, ANSFA.
He described the re-election which took place recently in Awka as a clear affirmation of his impact on grassroots football.
In a congratulatory message on behalf of the Ministry and “the entire sports loving community of Anambra State,” the Commissioner, Mr. Agha Mba, said Iloenyosi’s victory is not just a testament to his visionary leadership, but a clear affirmation of the incredible milestones, transparency, and grassroots football transformation recorded during his first tenure.
“You have truly lived up to your mark, ‘The General,’ leading the charge to revive the beautiful game across all corners of our dear state,” Agha Mba stated.

The Commissioner noted that under the administration of the state Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the Ministry has enjoyed “a robust and productive partnership” with the ANSFA leadership.
“Together, we have rewritten the narrative of grassroots sports development, creating viable pathways for our youth to thrive, excel, and discover their full potential,” he said.
Looking ahead, Agha Mba expressed confidence that Iloenyosi’s “wealth of experience, unyielding passion, and deep-rooted love for football will steer Anambra sports to even greater heights.”
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to work with ANSFA to deliver on the “Solution Bigger Agenda” for youth and sports development, praying that the renewed tenure “be marked by even greater achievements, seamless teamwork, and the continuous rise of Anambra football on both national and international stages.”
Chief Iloenyosi was recently returned unopposed for a second four-year term to lead football administration in the state.
