Ijele Sports Club U-19 team today began their quests for Viareggio World Youth Tournament glory with a 5-2 trouncing of homers Perugia FC U-19 in their opening game.
Two goals each from Kpangu Ezekiel and Farouq Jimoh with one from Amos Adzuu gave the first timers bragging rights as leaders of the group at the end of MatchDay1.
They had a good first half being two goals up but two quick goals in one minute that left the first half at 2-2 changed their approach to the game in the second half that produced the three winning goals.
Ijele Sports team will on Wednesday, March 19 battle Internacional FC in their second group game. Internacional today lost 0-1 to Genoa FC.
