The Acting Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu has warmly congratulated Prof Lilian-Rita Akudolu on her appointment as Pro-Vice Chancellor of Accra Metropolitan University, Ghana.
Speaking with UNIZIK FM in his office in reaction to the appointment, Prof Ikechebelu who was elated by the appointment described it as a welcome development that gives the new vice chancellor opportunity to contribute to the growth of the university.
Prof Ikechebelu said he feels great that one of the staff of UNIZIK is accepted in a foreign university as Vice Chancellor, a development that shows the quality of human resources in the institution.
“This private institution, with over a decade of existence, will benefit from her leadership as she oversees key aspects of their educational development. We are confident that her expertise will contribute significantly to their growth”,
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Lilian-Rita Akudolu on this remarkable achievement and wish her continued success in this new role”, he said
Speaking to Unizik FM on phone from her new base, Prof Akudolu informed that she had originally gone to the university for her Sabbatical before the appointment came.
She promised to do her best to contribute to positive academic advancement of the university. “I believe in Do the best in whatever you are doing and leave the rest to God”.
She thanked the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof Ikechebelu for giving her the privilege to contribute to the growth of another university in foreign land.
