The Nigeria National League Team of the week striker, Adetona Adeyemi has said that his team, Ijele FC will make a mark in the 2025 season.

Speaking to Ijele Media after his name appeared in the NNL team of the week, Adeyemi thanked the organisers of the league, management and technical crew of Ijele FC and his team mates.

He promised not to be carried away by the selection but said that it will serve as a motivation force to work hard and achieve more.

“I know that we are new in the league but we will make a mark this season. I am confident that we have what it takes to excel and we are working hard to achieve good results”.

Speaking of their MatchDay9 encounter against Beyond Limits FC this weekend at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Adeyemi described the game as a good one that will see them put in their best.

“We are preparing well for the game. It is going to be a good game and we are going to put in our best in the match to achieve our aims which is winning by God’s grace”,

“They are good and we are equally good. There is nothing to be scared of because it’s a game of the mind and we are strong enough to defeat them in our home ground “, he said.

He thanked the club’s fans and supporters for standing with the team through thick and thin, “I really appreciate the fans and our supporters who had been with us from the beginning of the season. I give my kudos to them all. We will try to make them happy by God’s grace”.
