Chief coach of Enugu based Ijele Sports Club, Fesojaye Tajudeen has described his team’s slim 1-0 victory over visiting Edel FC in their matchday7 encounter as a morale booster.
He said that his boys were under pressure following their home loss to one of Conference A favourites, Abia Comets but thanked God they were able to pull through against Edel.
“First and foremost I give glory to God that made it possible for us to be able to win . You can see the match we lost last week put us under so much duress that we couldn’t calm down in the midfield and play but all glory to God we have been able to surpass that and we have to be very careful along the line so that we don’t drop points at home again”
“The victory is a morale booster, bringing our confidence back that we can win and win again. This will ginger us to be able to continue to win.
Speaking on the team’s inability to convert scoring chances, coach Fesojaye said the technical team are working on the loophole
“Yeah, we have been able to see that as a loophole but we are working on it until the registration window opens so that we can fix some other things. But we see it as a problem and we’re managing it”.
