The 1998 Set ‘Old Boys’ of Agulu Grammar School (AGS) on Wednesday, 6th November 2024 commenced the 2024 Inter School Football Tournament.
The football competition according to the ‘Old Boys’ is aimed at celebrating the Silver Jubilee of their graduation from the school as well as an avenue to revive sporting activities within the school and the educational zone.
As part of the celebration, the 1998 set will also pay for the WAEC fees of all the SS3 students of their alma mater come the month of December 2024.
The celebration which is also a reunion tagged, “Thanksgiving Reunion” is expected to come to a climax with a church thanksgiving and get together in January 2025.
For the football competition, Agulu Grammar School is expected to face Alpha Academy on Wednesday, 6th November 2024 while CSS Mbaukwu will square up against Alpha Stars on Thursday, 7th November 2024.
The winner of both fixtures will book a spot in the finals to be played on Sunday, 10th November 2024 at the AGS playground.
That’s great. 1998 set has rekindled the hope and the light of A GS once again.
