Professor Clement Ezechukwu, from the College of Health Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has been selected by the West African College of Physicians (WACP) to receive the prestigious Gold Medal Award.
According to a statement from the College, Professor Ezechukwu will be honored during the West African College of Physicians’ Annual General and Scientific Meeting (AGSM), scheduled to take place in Abuja from October 28th to 30th, 2024.
A Professor of Medicine and specialist in Pediatrics, Professor Ezechukwu is being recognized for his exemplary leadership across borders, his role in fostering diverse global medical research breakthroughs, and his significant contributions to healthcare in the West African sub-region and to the College.
The West African College of Physicians is a leading institution that sets the standards for medical practice and serves as the principal agency for training specialists in the sub-region.
The Ag Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation, congratulates Professor Clement Ezechukwu on this outstanding achievement, recognizing it as a milestone that will further enhance the university’s pursuit of its objectives.
