Rivers CP, Disu Lauds Retired Officer Briggs For Quality Contributions To Police Force

The Commissioner of Police Rivers State Command, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has lauded retired SP Asigoboka Briggs over her immense contributions in the Police Force, especially during her tenure as command sports officer.

He described Mrs Briggs as a dedicated officer who put in her wealth of experience into serving the Nigerian Police as a professional athlete and administrator.

Disu said this last Monday during her retirement party held at the main bowl of the Alfred Diete Spiff Sports Complex, Moscow Road, in Port Harcourt.

He stated that Mrs Briggs made enormous contributions in terms of Sports development in the Police force and beyond.

“Mrs Briggs and some of her colleagues made enormous contributions in terms of Sports development in the Police force. They have done some sacrifices and deprived themselves of so much pleasures and opportunities to serve their fatherland”, Disu said.

Highlight of the event was presentation of gifts to Mrs. Briggs by her colleagues. Presentation of award by Reggie Briggs Grassroots Sports Development Foundation to the CP for been an International Judoka and Sports Loving Police officer award represented to him by State Director of Sports.
