ANSSI Zonal Eliminations: Soludo’s Town Come Alive With Volleyball, Football Qualifiers

Isuofia, the country home of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo is sgog with sporting activities as the zonal elimination games of the ongoing Anambra Sports Solution Initiative (ANSSI) got underway on Tuesday.

Community Secondary School, Isuofia was a beehive of exciting football and volleyball display for schools in Anambra South Senatorial District which made it to the final level.

In Football, Community School Awgbu defeated their counterparts from Umunze Primary School with a decisive 2-0 victory in the U12 Category in a scintillating show of raw and youthful skills.

In U14 Category, Community High School Nanka defeated Christ Redeemer College Amesi by narrow 1-0 to advance to the state finals.

The hosts, Community Secondary School Isuofia, was disqualified for fielding over-aged players leading to their exit without kicking the ball

It was a smooth walkover victory for Community Secondary high School Nanka.

In the Football U18 Category Christ the Redeemer College Amesi secured their place in the finals with a thrilling 3-2 win against Community Secondary School Ajali.

Christ the Redeemer College will now face St. Dominic the Saviour Seminary Akpu at the state level of the competition.

In Volleyball, Community Secondary School Isuofia dominated their opponents from Austica Memorial College Nanka and ended the game on a positive note with 2-0 win.in the U18 Male Category.

The concluding games of the Zonal elimination will hold on Wednesday across the centre.
