Gombe State would be agog on Thursday when it welcomes gallant Youth AthIetes who made the state proud by winning medals at National Youth Games in Asaba last year.
Speaking further on plans for the AthIetes the Chairman of Gombe State Athletics Association Hon. Ahmed Shuaibu Gara Gombe said the AthIetes have done well and deserve to be honoured and cordially invites all stakeholders in the state for the Celebration.
Other activities according to the programme of events include
the inauguration of the Main Organizing Committees of Gombe State Inter Secondary Schools Athletics Competition and the Gombe State Higher Institutions Football League.
Also to be inaugurated is the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of the Gombe State Primary Schools Games Masters Association.
These activities have been planned on May 16th, 2024 at the Gombe State University Old Multi-purpose Hall.
Alhaji Adamu Inuwa Pantami, the Gombe State Hon. Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Muhammada Shettima Gadam, Commissioner of Higher Education and Dr. Aisha Umar Maigari, Hon. Commissioner of Education together with Bar. Sani A.A.Haruna. Executive Chairman of Gombe Local Government are Special Guests of Honor.
Hon. Gara Gombe insisted that the inauguration of the committees would definitely ignite many spotting activities that would lead to discovery and development of Football and AthIetics talents in Gombe State.
