The heartwarming promise was dropped at the weekend when Dr Ezekwelu visited these communities in continuation of his ‘thank you’ tour to the All Progressives Congress (APC) members for their support during the primary election that saw him sweep the votes to emerge candidate of the party.
At Nnokwa, just as it was in Nnobi, Awka-etiti, and Akwu-ukwu they pledged to mobilise voters across their villages, groups, churches, markets and social circles so as to ensure that the APC candidate emerge victorious at the coming January election.
Describing the youthful candidate as visibly active, agile, approachable and believable, the
APC Chairman for Idemili South Local Government Area, Chief Sunday Obidigbo, charged the members particularly the women to match their words of promise with action at the polls in January 2027.
Obidigbo pointed out that nothing other than a landslide victory of the party’s candidate, Kingsley Ezekwelu Esq, was expected.
The women vow to take the campaigns beyond political rallies by engaging fellow market women, their social groups, churches, etc in neighboring communities; educating voters and using their grassroots networks to canvass and amass huge support base for Ezekwelu.
Chief Oge Obi, Ichie Okaaka Ogbuagu Awka-etiti noted that Ezekwelu remains the best candidate amongst other candidates.
At Akwu-ukwu, Dr Ezekwelu urged the women and all the voters especially the women to use their overwhelming numerical political strength and translate it into active political participation.
Hear him, “Women must not only attend rallies. They must participate in voters’ education. They must understand the electoral process and support candidate with the fear of God.”
At the Ezeihulu hall, Nnobi Ezekwelu urged the women to urgently take the message to their homes, neighbors and polling units, every social group they belonged, stressing the need for urgent grassroots mobilisation ahead of the voting proper.
