As Nigeria marks another Independence anniversary, the Director-General/CEO of the National Institute for Sports, NIS, H.E. Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has called on Nigerians to contribute their quota towards building a stronger and better nation.
The NIS helmsman noted that Nigeria’s progress requires the collective efforts of its citizens, urging Nigerians to support and key into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The DG emphasised that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, provides a national direction towards a stronger, more productive and prosperous Nigeria. He therefore called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of the agenda by playing their individual and collective roles, stressing that when everyone contributes their quota with commitment and patriotism, Nigeria can overcome its challenges and achieve its full potential.
In line with this vision, and under the leadership of Comrade Shaibu, the Institute is focused on improving the quality of coaching education, strengthening professional standards and preparing coaches with the knowledge and skills required to develop athletes and compete effectively at the highest level.
As Nigeria celebrates its 66th independence, the NIS reaffirms its commitment to contributing its quota to nation-building, believing that a better Nigeria can be achieved when every citizen and institution plays its part.
