Chairman of Enyimba FC, Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo, has extended his goodwill to players of Immortality Academy in Uyo.
Kanu was at the Uyo Township Stadium on Saturday to watch a preseason match between Akwa United and Enyimba FC, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
After the game, players of Immortality Academy who served as ball boys for the match gathered around him, chanting his name.
The Enyimba boss took time to speak with them, urging them to remain disciplined.
“You have to be disciplined and listen to your coaches if you want to be a big star like Kanu,” he told the young players.
When he asked what they wanted from him, one of them responded that they needed sponsorship.
Kanu promised to grant their request and assured them of his support in any way possible.
The boys were visibly elated by his words of encouragement and his commitment to assist the academy.
